Kids are people too!
We offer group fitness and personal training services to children as well. As heartbreaking and painful to see as childhood obesity is, it is important to remember that even if your child does not currently have a health problem, they could one day. Start teaching them early about forming good habits, understanding proper nutrition, avoiding a sedentary lifestyle and enjoying the benefits of a strong, healthy body. We offer personal training and several fitness classes for children.
Discipline and Fitness
We have kickboxing programs for teens as well as youth ages 5+. Our youth kickboxing program is designed to enjoy the best of both worlds when it comes to martial arts. We come from a traditional martial arts background (Karate, Tae Kwon Do etc...) while currently training and competing in MMA, Muay Thai and kickboxing. We will work on instilling a sense of discipline, honor and respect typical of a traditional martial arts program, all while stressing the importance of hard work and physical fitness needed to stay competitive.
Kickboxing utilizes speed, power, precision, balance and coordination while listening and paying attention to a coach or instructor. The skills and abilities developed in this class translate into a variety of sports and other pursuits.
We will also introduce them to strength and conditioning concepts in a safe and fun manner. We will get them excited about hard work and striving to improve.
Lastly, we will reinforce principles of self-defense, particularly as it relates to the zero-tolerance world of school disciplinary actions. This class has it all!
Start 'em early!
There is no reason your toddler or pre-school age child (Ages 2-5) cannot start learning and growing as an athlete. In Pre-school Pros we learn about running, jumping, pushing, pulling. We stress the importance of a healthy lifestyle, a love of exercise and drinking water! We will learn about movement and parts of the body all while playing games designed to challenge them mentally and physically. On top of all the physical benefits, we will encourage teamwork, develop leadership skills, take turns and gracefully accept a loss and move on without sulking or a tantrum.
